How Etsy fees work

Etsy charges four fees on a sale. A $0.20 listing fee for each item sold, a 6.5% transaction fee on the full order total, payment processing of 3% plus $0.25, and Offsite Ads when a buyer arrives through an Etsy ad. The transaction fee counts your shipping and gift wrap, not just the item price.

The calculator adds each fee for your order and shows the total and your net payout. Offsite Ads run 15% below $10,000 in annual sales and 12% above it, capped at $100 per order, and sellers past the threshold cannot opt out.

Frequently Asked Questions

How are Etsy fees calculated?

Etsy charges four fees on a sale. A listing fee of $0.20, a 6.5% transaction fee on the order total, payment processing of 3% plus $0.25, and Offsite Ads when they apply. The calculator adds each one and shows your net payout.

Does the Etsy transaction fee include shipping?

Yes. Etsy applies the 6.5% transaction fee to the full order total, which includes the item price, the shipping you charge, and any gift wrap. The calculator uses the same order total for that fee.

What are Etsy Offsite Ads fees?

When a buyer reaches your listing through an Etsy ad, Etsy charges 15% of that order, or 12% once your shop passes $10,000 in annual sales. The fee is capped at $100 per order. Sellers above the threshold cannot opt out.
